Popular Ridgefield Ice Cream Shop Suddenly Shutters
The shop announced Friday that it will close before Christmas.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Popular ice cream shop Johnny Gelato will close before Christmas, according to a post on their Facebook page.
“Thank you all so much for welcoming us to your town and being the absolute best customers,” the business said on its Facebook page. “We have made some amazing lifelong friends, and we are so thankful for that. Stop by before we close to use up any gift certificates you have and to stock up your freezer.”

The shop made the announcement online Friday, Dec. 14, naming Dec. 21, 22 and 23 as its last days open. Johnny Gelato has been in business in Ridgefield for three years.
