Public to Vote on Sale of Conservation Commission Land

The Conservation Commission is looking to sell three acres out of the 28 acquired for open space in 2012.

RIDGEFIELD, CT --- The Conservation Commission has set Wednesday, May 9, for a public referendum on the approval of the sale of three acres of Commission land. The parcel would be carved out as a potential building lot from 28 acres the Commission acquired in 2012 for $825,000.

The original large lot was purchased as open space, but with an understanding that three acres might be sold to help replenish the open space fund, which now sits now at about $236,000.
