'Rid Litter Days' Come to Ridgefield in April
The Chamber of Commerce and other groups are calling upon Ridgefield residents to do their part to keep the town beautiful.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Ridgefield and the Caudatowa Garden Club are calling upon Ridgefield residents to do their part to keep the town beautiful.
The groups are sponsoring "Rid Litter Days," on Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28, a community-wide volunteer effort t0 clean up the trash and litter that sometimes accumulates in even the most ecology-minded of towns.
Refuse bags and safety vests can be picked up at Parks & Recreation at 95 Danbury Road, Town Hall at 400 Main Street, or the Chamber of Commerce office at 13 Grove Street.
Here's where the refuse may be dropped off:
- Farmingville Elementary School, 324 Farmingville Road
- East Ridge Middle School, 10 East Ridge
- Ridgefield Middle School, 700 North Salem Road
- Branchville Elementary School, 40 Florida Road
- Parks & Rec auxiliary parking lot, Danbury Road near the bridge
