Ridgefield Changes Affordable Housing Rules
The rule encourages developers to stay within Ridgefield's zoning regulations.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield's zoning board approved changes to affordable housing rules in an effort to discourage developers from circumventing local zoning rules.
Developers are allowed to get around most local zoning issues if a town doesn't have a certain amount of affordable housing stock under the state's 8-30g law.
Ridgefield's regulation offers incentives to developers who stay within Ridgefield's zoning rules, according to the News-Times. Ridgefield's affordable housing moratorium is set to expire in October.
