Ridgefield Father’s Day Fundraiser for Animal Rescue

ROAR dogs will also be available for adoption at the event from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.!

RIDGEFIELD, CT -- On June 16, Ridgefield-area residents can help support “man’s best friend” at a Father’s Day fundraising event benefiting Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR), sponsored by Ancona’s Wines & Liquors. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ancona’s new store located at 17B Governor Street in Ridgefield.

Ridgefield-area residents can shop for a variety of gifts for Father’s Day at the event. ROAR items available for Dad will include hats and sweatshirts. Ancona’s will donate 10 percent of all sales during the event, which will go to ROAR to support the ROAR Donofrio Family Animal Shelter to continue rescuing, caring for and adopting cats and dogs. The shelter is located at 45 South Street, Ridgefield.

ROAR dogs will also be available for adoption at the event from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“ROAR is a great organization that enhances the remarkable bond between people and their pets, and we look forward to supporting them at our newest store and offering customers a way to give back and honor their Dads this Father’s Day,” said Mitch Ancona, owner, Ancona’s Wines & Liquors.

“The connection between Dads and their dogs are truly special,” said Pam Rybarczyk, board member for ROAR. “Our Father’s Day event at Ancona’s will give local residents an opportunity to shop for gifts to thank Dad for all that he does and adopt his next best friend.”

Ridgefield-area residents will also have a chance to win cat and dog gift baskets at the event. In addition, shoppers can sample a ROAR specialty cocktail at the event. Wine, beer and bourbon tastings will also be available.
