Ridgefield Fire Department Announces Death of Former Deputy Chief

RIDGEFIELD, CT — A longtime public servant and former Deputy Fire Chief has passed away, according to the Ridgefield Fire Department.

The Department took to Facebook Friday morning to announce the death of former Deputy Chief and honorary member James Belote. Belote served the town for over 48 years, and served as a Deputy Fire Chief for five years. To sign up for Ridgefield breaking news alerts and more, click here.

"Chief Belote's dedicated service of over 48 years to the Town of Ridgefield should be an example to all," reads the Facebook post."He will forever be remembered"

Funeral arrangements are not confirmed at this time.
