Ridgefield Fire Department Announces Death of Former Deputy Chief

He served the Ridgefield Fire Department for nearly 50 years.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — A longtime public servant and former Deputy Fire Chief has passed away, according to the Ridgefield Fire Department.

The Department took to Facebook Friday morning to announce the death of former Deputy Chief and honorary member James Belote. Belote served the town for over 48 years, and served as a Deputy Fire Chief for five years. To sign up for Ridgefield breaking news alerts and more, click here.
