Ridgefield Guild of Artists to Kick Off 'Art Walk 2019'
Fifty-six artists from Ridgefield and surrounding towns in Westchester and Fairfield counties are scheduled to present their work.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Guild of Artists will present its sixth annual Art Walk from Aug. 23 through Sept. 8.
Fifty-six artists from Ridgefield and surrounding towns in Westchester and Fairfield counties are scheduled to present paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture and more in downtown storefronts and inside stores around Ridgefield.
Forty-two local merchants along Main Street and downtown side streets, plus The Marketplace at Copps Hill Common will participate in "Art Walk 2019." Opening night, where artists will be at the stores for receptions, is Aug. 23 from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, is Artist Day, with many of the participating artists filling the sidewalks showing their wares and demonstrating their craft.
All artwork is for sale. Proceeds from sales go back to Guild of Artists, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to help with general expenses and future programming.
