Ridgefield Guild Of Artists To Open Festive Home Holiday Marketplace

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Guild of Artists will open its annual Festive Home holiday marketplace Saturday, Nov. 14, featuring handmade items from more than 50 artisans, artwork by Guild members and displays created by local interior designers.

The event will run through Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Guild's gallery, 34 Halpin Lane, with a ticketed preview party scheduled for Friday, Nov. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The preview will include food and beverages, with tickets priced at $25 in advance through the Guild's website or $30 at the door. Proceeds will support the nonprofit organization's programs and activities.

This year's marketplace will have a "Colors of the Season" theme, according to Grace Drake, the Guild's executive director and event chair.

The marketplace will feature handmade ornaments, candles, jewelry, stationery, pottery, knitwear, leather goods and other items from participating artisans. Artwork created by Guild members and additional merchandise selected for the event will also be available.

Each gallery will feature a display arranged by a local interior designer and incorporating artwork by a Guild member.

Participating designers include Molly Hirsch of Molly Hirsch Interiors, Jill Rae of Jill Rae Designs, Sarah Sullivan and Nicole Fortson of The Tweaked Home, and Rachel Gedymin of Rachel Gedymin Designs.

The Guild's gallery is housed in a white antique barn on Halpin Lane, across from the Ridgefield Theater Barn.

Festive Home hours will be noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. The marketplace will be closed Mondays and Nov. 24-26 for Thanksgiving, reopening Friday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m.
