Ridgefield High School To Add Fencing As Club Sport
The RHS Athletic Director made the announcement on social media.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Foils, épées and sabers will be joining lacrosse sticks and baseball bats in the equipment lockers at Ridgefield High School.
Athletic Director Dane Street announced on Twitter that fencing will be added to the RHS athletic program as a club sport.
"Pleased to announce the unanimous approval of Fencing as a Club Sport by the BOE this evening!" the A.D. posted late Monday night.

The new sport, made possible through a partnership with fencing, chess and archery academy Way of the Sword on Governor Street in Ridgefield, "will get underway immediately," Street said.
