Ridgefield High School Principal Honored by State PTA Group

Dr. Stacey Gross was named the Conn. PTA's 2018 Outstanding High School Principal as part of the Conn. PTA Outstanding Administrator Awards

Ridgefield High School principal Dr. Stacey Gross has been named the 2018 Outstanding High School Principal by the Connecticut PTA.

In an announcement issued by Co-presidents of the RHS PTSA, Noelle Aronson and
Carrie Hanlon, it was stated that Dr. Gross has been recognized for her “leadership in learning, communication, community involvement, and professionalism.”

“We are thrilled that CT PTA recognized what so many of us have long known — that Dr. Stacey Gross is an outstanding principal in every sense of the word,” Aronson and Hanlon said in a joint statement. “She is compassionate, collaborative, supportive, and motivating. She has dedicated herself to providing a safe and nurturing high school experience for the children of Ridgefield in cooperation with faculty, staff, parents, and community leaders, and we are proud to have her guiding our children and preparing them for life beyond RHS.”

Dr. Gross received her doctorate degree from Fordham University, Graduate School of Education in 2008. She began her education career as a special education teacher. In 2010 she received statewide recognition for her leadership at Western Middle School in Greenwich, CT when she was awarded the Connecticut Middle Level Principal of the Year Award. She went on to become Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Learning for the Greenwich Public Schools and joined the Ridgefield Public Schools as the principal of Ridgefield High School in 2012.

Dr. Robert Miller, the district’s acting superintendent, described Gross as “hard-working, dedicated to the best interest of her students, and is always seeking to continue to improve the education our students receive.”

Dr. Gross will be recognized, along with seven other Connecticut administrators, at the Connecticut PTA Outstanding Administrator Awards dinner on April 25 in Rocky Hill.
