Ridgefield Jewelry Designer Is ARTique Guest Artist

Jewelry designer Emily Santella debuts as guest artist of ARTique at the high-end boutique's gala opening Thurs., at St. Stephen's Church.

Jewelry designer Emily Santella of Ridgefield makes her debut as a guest artist of ARTique at the high-end boutique’s gala opening Thurs., Nov. 15, in St. Stephen’s North Hall, 6:30-8:30. The evening includes live music and refreshments. ARTique continues Fri., Nov. 16, noon to 7, and Saturday, Nov. 17, 10 to 5.

Santella, who will show an eclectic collection of earrings, necklaces and bracelets, works in sterling silver and argentium silver, which is brighter, purer and more tarnish resistant than traditional sterling. She often incorporates stones that she has collected on beaches from as far as Turkey to nearby Block Island.

Also juried into the show are 10 other guest artists, who will showcase works ranging from hand-painted silk scarves and photography to forged iron, turned wood and much more.

ARTique is sponsored by Connecticut Clay Artists, who will exhibit their wares in clay and porcelain. Admission is free.
