Ridgefield Lacrosse Upset Chosen Year's Top Sports Moment [VIDEO]

RIDGEFIELD, CT — CIACsports.com recently gave fans a chance to choose their favorite CIAC championship NFHS Network moment from 2017-18. There were 20 choices offered - one per sport - and the fans have spoken.

The CIAC has announced the top votegetter among the 20 finalists: the dramatic 9-8 upset by Ridgefield over top-ranked Darien in the boys lacrosse finals at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk. That victory snapped Darien's 76-match winning streak and ended a string of four straight championship seasons for the Blue Wave.
