Ridgefield Library, Playhouse Present Massenet Opera in HD
They will present the Met Opera production of Massenet's "Cendrillon."

RIDGEFIELD, CT --- TheRidgefield Library, in conjunction with the Ridgefield Playhouse, are bringing operas, ballets, and dramas presented by the Metropolitan Opera, Bolshoi Ballet and National Theatre of London to Ridgefield. On Saturday, April 28, 12:55-4:15 p.m., they will present the Met Opera production of Massenet's Cendrillon, delivered in HD to the big screen at the Playhouse.
Opera goers are encouraged to visit the library during the week to learn more about the history of these masterworks and their creators, then show their library card at the Ridgefield Playhouse box office to receive the Playhouse member discount price of $20 on tickets. College students pay $15 and students 18 and under attend for free.
Massenet's Cendrillon is the final entry in the current season of the Met Opera's "Live in HD" 2017-18 season. The opera, which re-tells the story of Cinderella, made its premiere in Paris in 1899.
