Ridgefield Makes Decision On School For Wednesday
Another nor'easter is expected to have significant impacts on the area today.
Ridgefield Public Schools will be operating on an Early Release schedule for Wednesday, March 21 due to the winter storm, officials announced. The early dismissal times for each school are listed below:
Ridgefield High School
Early Dismissal - 10:30 a.m.
East Ridge and Scotts Ridge Middle Schools
Early Dismissal - 11:05 a.m.
Branchville, Ridgebury, and Scotland Elementary Schools
Early Dismissal - 11:40 a.m.
Barlow Mountain, Farmingville, and Veterans Park Elementary Schools
Early Dismissal - 12:15 p.m.
A nor'easter is expected to bring up to a foot of snow to the area today. The snow should be at its heaviest this afternoon and evening before it tapers off around midnight.
This is the fourth straight nor'easter Connecticut has seen over the past month. Power outages are expected to be less of a concern this time because while winds may gust to 30-35 mph at times, it won't approach the strength of previous storms.
