Ridgefield Man Charged with DUI After Speeding: PD
The driver attempted to pass another vehicle in New Canaan by going into an oncoming lane, police said.
NEW CANAAN, CT — A speeding motorist was charged with DUI after he tried to pass another motorist by going into an oncoming traffic lane, according to police.
An officer observed the vehicle on Smith Ridge Road April 21 around 4:47 p.m. It was going 65 mph in a 45 mph zone, police said.
Clifford Browne, 51, of Ridgefield failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI and improper passing, according to police. He refused a BAC test.
