Ridgefield Man Threatens to Cut Leg for Woman's Number: Police

The man allegedly made several other disturbing comments to a 20-year-old woman.

A Ridgefield man was arrested after he allegedly made several disturbing comments to a female employee at a New Canaan food store on Sunday, the News Times reports.

According to the paper, Randolph Wood, 49 told a 20-year-old female employee at New Canaan’s Food Emporium that he would crash his truck into the store if he didn’t get her phone number. He later allegedly blocked the car she was in and stared at her, the paper reports.

Wood also reportedly threatened to cut off his leg if he didn’t get the woman’s number.

He was charged with second-degree breach of peace and released on a promise to appear in court June 9, the paper reports.
