Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue to Host Gala
The fundraiser will also honor residents for their outstanding contributions and support.

From ROAR:Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR) will host its annual ROAR gala and fundraising event on March 9 th at the newly re-opened Le Chateau in South Salem, NY. Ridgefield-resident Scott Linke, the 2019 ROAR Community Star Award honoree, and Ancona’s Wines and Liquors, the 2019 ROAR Business Star Award honoree, will be recognized by ROAR at the event for their outstanding contributions and support.
All proceeds from the event will go to ROAR to support the ROAR Donofrio Family Animal Shelter in Ridgefield, CT to continue rescuing, caring for and adopting cats and dogs. Tickets can “Our sponsors, supporters and volunteers play a huge role in making it possible for ROAR to continue its mission of providing animals in need with the same love, care and compassion we show our own family pets,” said Kerry Dobson, Executive Director for ROAR. “We look forward to celebrating our successes together at our annual gala and for honoring Scott Linke and Ancona’s Wines and Liquors for their deep passion and ongoing commitment for supporting the rescue and adoption of homeless pets.”
This year’s theme of the gala is “Top Hat, Tails and Purrls.” This underscores the needs of rescued dogs and cats so they can put their best paw forward and transition successfully to their furever homes, and to provide support to adopters so they understand the responsibilities and rewards of pet ownership. At the event, attendees will enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner, open bar, silent and live auctions, and live music from Candlewood.
ROAR’s live auction will feature several items including: a one-week stay at The Residences at the Ritz-Carlton on Grand Cayman Island; dinner at the James Beard House in New York City; dinner at the renowned Winvian Farm with an overnight stay in one of their individually designed cottages in Litchfield Hills, CT; a Family Spring Membership at Salem Golf Club; and a ROAR favorite – a BBQ for up to 50 guests in your home or backyard.
The event’s silent auction will also be open to the public, giving those who can’t attend the event an opportunity to bid on items from their smartphones. Bidding will start online a week before the event and end at the ROAR Annual Gala 2019 event on March 9 th . Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR) ROAR is a non-profit animal rescue organization in Ridgefield, CT that specializes in the compassionate treatment and adoption of homeless pets.
