RIDGEFIELD OVERHEAD DOORS DONATES GARAGE DOORS TO HOUSATONIC HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

New homeowners at 21 Hospital Avenue will have brand new garage doors courtesy of the generosity of Ridgefield Overhead Doors in conjunction with CHI Overhead Doors, the manufacturer.  "We are thrilled with the commitment to this project from Ridgefield Overhead Doors. When I called Paul and Nancy Peloquin, they did not hesitate to participate and were even onsite for the installation,” said Executive Director Fran Normann.

Ridgefield Overhead Doors owner, Paul Peloquin has been in the garage door business for over 35 years and has a strong commitment to serving the community, having donated garage doors for a Housatonic Habitat for Humanity home in Brookfield a few years ago.  “When I was a single mother with 3 small children, I would have loved to have had the opportunity that Housatonic Habitat for Humanity provides.  They help people to help themselves and provide hope for others”, said Nancy Peloquin.

Housatonic Habitat for Humanity, established in Ridgefield in 1991, mobilizes local volunteers who mentor and teach under-served, low income working families and then work side by side to build affordable homes which are sold at 0% mortgage.  Housatonic Habitat for Humanity serves Bethel, Brookfield, Bridgewater, Danbury, Gaylordsville, New Canaan, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Washington, Weston and Wilton.
