Ridgefield Parents Argue Against Teacher Cuts

Some parents spoke up at a Board of Education meeting Monday.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Nearly 20 parents spoke against proposed cuts to elementary art and high school English teachers at a Board of Education meeting.

First Selectman Rudy Marconi said that the Board of Selectmen would aim to stay at or under a 2.5 percent spending raise for town and school spending, according to the Ridgefield Press.

Superintendent Karen Baldwin originally proposed a 4.83 percent budget increase.
