Ridgefield PD Offer Free Child Car Installation and Inspection
The service is free of cost and available by appointment only.
The Ridgefield Police Department is reminding residents of their child car seat installation and inspection program.
Currently, there are three officers who are nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians and are certified to install and inspect child passenger restraint systems.
Police say that 73 percent of car seats are used or installed incorrectly. Due to this fact, the department urges parents and caregivers to contact them at 203-438-6531 to set up an appointment.
The service is free of cost and is provided by appointment only. A preference is given to Ridgefield residents.
