Ridgefield Police Investigate Main Street Residential Break-In

Ridgefield Police responded to a report of a residential break-in on Main Street in the early morning hours Thursday.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield Police are investigating a residential break-in that occurred on Main Street in the early morning hours of Thursday, Jan. 22. The incident took place in the area of Rockwell Road. Police responded to the scene after receiving a report of the break-in.

Investigation at the residence revealed that an unknown person gained entry to the home by forcing open a rear door to access the interior of the dwelling. No violence was used or threatened at any point during this incident, according to the Ridgefield Police Department.

The person fled the scene on foot after realizing the home was occupied, and was observed fleeing southbound on Main Street, according to Capt. Brian Durling.

Authorities are asking for public assistance in this ongoing investigation. Det. David DuBord is leading the inquiry into the Main Street incident. Anyone with information about the break-in is encouraged to contact Detective DuBord directly at 203-438-6531.
