Ridgefield Police Investigating Neds Mountain Road Burglary

Have you seen this car? Ridgefield police want to speak with the driver about a burglary they say occurred last week on Neds Mountain Road.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Police Department is investigating a burglary on Neds Mountain Road.

Police say one or more suspects gained entry to a residence between 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25 and 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26 by forcing open a locked basement window.

A MacBook Air 13", about $14,000 in jewelry and $1,000 in cash were removed from the home, according to Capt. Jeff Raines.

The car above is a "vehicle of interest" and was observed pulling into the neighbor's driveway on Thursday at 9:50 a.m. The driver exited the car and knocked heavily on the front door. The homeowner answered and advised the driver he had the wrong address, and the driver left the premises, Raines said in a news release.
