Ridgefield To Present Development Plan Draft To Public
The Town will use the input from the public meeting to refine the draft before presenting it for adoption later this year.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Planning and Zoning Commission has placed a draft of the updated Plan of Conservation and Development on the town website, and will be formally presenting it to residents at a public meeting on Tuesday.
The 2020 POCD is an update of a plan from a decade ago. According to the Commission, it is based upon:
- Current conditions and trends affecting Ridgefield,
- Independent research and investigation,
- Input from local boards, commissions, and agencies,
- Surveys conducted as part of POCD update process,
- Working meetings of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
- The provisions of Section 8‐23 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
The Commission will use the input from the public meeting to refine the draft before presenting it for adoption later this year.
The POCD is intended to "guide local boards and commissions and to provide a framework for consistent decision‐making with regard to conservation and development activities in Ridgefield over the next decade or so."
The public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 7 p.m. in the town hall annex at 66 Prospect Street.
