You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2015-16 school year in the Ridgefield Public School System.
First day of school (K-Gr.9): Aug. 25
First day of school (Gr.10-12): Aug. 26

Labor Day (schools and offices closed): Sept. 7
Rosh Hashanah (schools and offices closed):Sept. 14

Yom Kippur (schools and offices closed): Sept. 23
Columbus Day (schools and offices closed): Oct. 12
PD Day for teachers (schools closed for students): Nov. 3
Veteran’s Day (schools and offices closed): Nov. 11
Nov. 25 (early dismissal)
Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 26-27
Winter break early dismissal: Dec. 23
Winter Break: Dec. 24-Jan. 3
