Ridgefield Rays 2-1-1 in France

RIDGEFIELD, CT -- The Ridgefield Rays 14U Babe Ruth baseball team, in France and The Netherlands this month for two international tournaments, are 2-1-1 following their first four games this weekend.

In their first game on Saturday, the 1 Rays shut out La Guerche 7-0. LaVelly allowed only 1 hit. In game two, the Rays were shut out 1-0 by Team RBI.

On Sunday in game 3, the Rays were down 7-2 after the second inning, rallied in the third (of the 4 inning game) with 5 hits. Ridgefield hung on and finished with a 7-7 tie versus Ligue BZH.

In the second game of their double-header, the Rays beat Ligue BZH decisively 14-2. Eiben and Lorenzini both had 4 runs batted in for the Rays.
