Ridgefield Readies Tax Sale of Properties
When the sale was first announced last September, the town was owed around $700,000 on 13 properties
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The town is readying a tax sale for Wednesday, and has already collected more than $600,000 in overdue payments, the Ridgefield Press has reported.
The original slate of properties placed on the block when the auction was first announced in September 2018 numbed 13, and the amount of missing tax revenue totaled about $700,000. In the final days before the sale, only about $65,000 is left to collect, on three properties.
Two office condominiums and one house remain on the list, and are currently listed for sale at the auction, to be held at 10 a.m. on March 27 in town hall’s lower level conference room.
