Ridgefield Residents Haven't Had to Pay Energy Bills for Nearly a Year: Report
They've been in their home for almost a year, and haven't paid a nickel for electricity bills.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — When the energy bills come in every month, every homeowner yearns for the day that they will not have to fork over hundreds to power their home. One Ridgefield family has made that dream a reality.
According to a report from The News Times, Mala and Kishore Ranade haven't had to pay at a nickel in energy bills for nearly a year of living in their Ridgefield home. The reason is the 32 solar panels installed on the home's roof; which power, heat and cool the 2,500 square foot home.
After buying the home formerly owned by Irene Kampen who wrote the book which inspired "The Lucy Show," The Ranades learned it would make more sense to completely rebuild the home, including the solar panels.
