Ridgefield Roars Near Top Spot In Ice Hockey Poll

The Tigers have averaged more than six goals a game during their current seven-game winning streak.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Recovering nicely from an uncharacteristic slow start, defending Division I champion Ridgefield has run off seven straight victories to claim the No. 2 spot in the most recent poll of Connecticut ice hockey coaches and media members.

The Tigers (8-2) jumped up two spots in the most recent balloting. They travel to Wilton Friday before hosting Simsbury on Saturday.

In another unanimous vote, Fairfield Prep (12-0) was the top choice on all 15 ballots.
