Ridgefield School Board Elects New Chair
The Ridgefield Board of Education voted in a new chair at its meeting Monday night.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Board of Education voted in a new chair at its meeting Monday night.
Jonathan Steckler, the current vice chairman, was elected to lead the board in an 8-1 vote.
Steckler is joined by newly elected vice chair Ken Sjoberg, and new board secretary Rachel Ruggeri. Steckler was nominated by outgoing board chair Margaret Stamatis at the beginning of the meeting. Kathleen Holz nominated Sjoberg.
Ruggieri's election was unanimous. The vote for Steckler and Sjoberg was 8-1, with board member Liz Flogel dissenting.
