Ridgefield School Board Makes No More Cuts to Budget

The $98,423,760 budget proposal for the 2019-20 school year has been sent as is to the Board of Finance​

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Board of Education has elected to pass its $98,423,760 budget proposal for the 2019-20 school year along to the Board of Finance without any additional cuts, the Ridgefield Press has reported.

The decision on Monday came five days the Board of Selectmen made a non-binding recommendation for the schools to trim $460,000 from the proposed budget.

The Board of Finance will hold a public hearing on both the school and town budgets Monday, March 25 at East Ridge Middle School.
