Ridgefield School Budget Increase Proposed
The Ridgefield school superintendent has proposed a budget increase to cover bigger expenses this coming year.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield Schools Superintendent Karen Baldwin proposed a 4.83 percent operating budget increase for the next school year. The request would bring the school's operating budget north of $97 million.
Baldwin said that 32 percent of the increase comes from increasing health care costs for employees, according to the Ridgefield Press.
Special education costs, salaries and transportation costs also make up large drivers of the requested increase.
