Ridgefield Schools Considers New Start Times
One option would save the district money while the other would cost it more.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Board of Education is considering later start times at the high school that could end up saving or costing the district more money. In both proposed plans the high school would start at 8:30 a.m.
One scenario would have elementary schools start at 7:35 a.m. and dismiss at 2:25 p.m. while middle schools would start at 9:10 a.m. and get out at 4 p.m., according to the Ridgefield Press.
Another more complicated proposal would have elementary schools starting at different times and cost the district an additional $360,000.
