Ridgefield Schools Names New Cafeteria Vendor; Positions Available

Ridgefield Public Schools announced this week that they have contracted with Aramark to be the District's new food service provider.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The public schools will be getting some new and different chow.

Ridgefield Public Schools announced this week that they have contracted with Aramark to be the
District’s new food service provider.

Families will see some new options in school menus. All schools will continue to utilize LunchTime SoftWare, so any balances from the prior year will be rolled into the current school year," according to RPS Director of Finance Jill Browne in a news release.

RPS' new director of Food Service, Eric Nickelson knows more than a little bit about his new key vendor. He has worked for Aramark since 2009, when he started as a student worker.

The USDA recently announced that it was ending the free lunch program begun last year. RPS families who qualify for free or reduced lunch will need to fill out the form here.

Aramark will be hiring full and part-time servers starting next week. Information on how to apply can be found here.
