Ridgefield Schools Superintendent to Remain on Leave

Superintendent Dr. William Collins​ has been on medical leave​ since May 15.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The superintendent of schools will still be on leave when classes resume on Aug. 29.

Superintendent Dr. William Collins has been on medical leave since May 15. Last week, school board Chairwoman Margaret Stamatis emailed parents to inform them that Collins will remain out "until further notice."During the interim, Collins responsibilities will continue to be handled by Dr. JeanAnn Paddyfote, who has been serving as interim superintendent since July 1.

Collins took over the job from took over the job from Paddyfote following the tenure of Dr. Robert Miller, the district's director of technology, who served as interim school chief from April through June of last year following the resignation of Dr. Karen Baldwin.
