Ridgefield Seeks Residents To Fill Sestercentennial Commission

RIDGEFIELD, CT — From 2025 to 2026, the town of Ridgefield will commemorate America's 250 years of independence. The Board of Selectpersons is forming an 11-member commission to plan, coordinate, and execute commemorative events.
Those interested in being considered for the commission, please contact the First Selectperson's Office at torfirstselectperson@ridgefieldct.gov. Ideal candidates include individuals with a financial/budgeting, marketing/PR and/or event planning background.
The commission will meet monthly (more or less) for the next two years to plan activities to take place between July 4, 2025, and July 4, 2026, that fall under the theme of the Declaration of Independence.
The Commission’s co-chairs are Pamme Jones, executive director of the Ridgefield Theater Barn and a member of the Ridgefield Arts Council, and Geoffrey Morris, who is a member of the Economic & Community Development Commission
