Ridgefield Seeks Volunteers For Deer Committee And Library Board Seats
Ridgefield seeks residents to serve on the Deer Management Committee and Ridgefield Library Board of Directors.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Two local organizations are seeking residents to serve in volunteer leadership roles, including a seat on the town’s Deer Management Implementation Committee and positions on the Ridgefield Library Association’s Board of Directors.
The town’s Deer Management Implementation Committee is seeking a new member. Applicants must be Ridgefield residents and registered voters, and they are asked to provide their party affiliation.
To be considered, candidates must submit a resume and letter of interest to First Selectperson Rudy Marconi at torfirstselectperson@ridgefieldct.gov and to DMIC Chair Stefano Zandri. Applicants are also expected to attend a Board of Selectpersons meeting and schedule a meeting with Marconi and Zandri.

Candidates will be interviewed at a Board of Selectpersons meeting. To schedule an interview, applicants should email Reyna Vallejo at torfirstselectperson@ridgefieldct.gov.
Separately, the Ridgefield Library Association is accepting applications from Ridgefield residents interested in serving on its Board of Directors. Self-nominations are encouraged. The three-year term begins July 1.

According to the Library Association, the board has up to 16 members and is responsible for fiduciary oversight, strategic planning and policy-setting for the organization.
Board members also assist with fundraising that supports the library’s operations.
The association said it is seeking applicants with a range of backgrounds and experience from across the community. Skills that may be helpful include finance, communications, development or philanthropy, and technology.
Board members are expected to serve on two subcommittees and may be asked to take on leadership roles as needed.
