Ridgefield Superintendent Resignation Negotiations Continue

Superintendent Karen Baldwin remains on paid administrative leave.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Talks continue over Superintendent Karen Baldwin's resignation after allegations of plagiarism. Baldwin remains on paid administrative leave.

Negotiations over Baldwin's exit may conclude this week, Board of Education Chairwoman Fran Walton told the Ridgefield Press.

Allegations of plagiarism came up in February and she was placed on leave March 9. Baldwin's contract can be severed mutually at any time. The Board of Education had the option to fire Bladwin under five different types of causes and she would be due a hearing.
