Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra Kicks Off 54th Season

The opening program features works by Beethoven and Bartók.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra will begin its 54th season this weekend with a program entitled "Ignition," featuring music by Beethoven and Bartók.

RSO Music Director Yuga Cohler will lead the orchestra in performances of Beethoven's "Symphony No. 1" and Bartok's "Concerto for Orchestra."

The concert will be held at the Anne S. Richardson Auditorium at Ridgefield High School on Sat., Oct. 6, beginning at 8 p.m.

The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra is a fully professional orchestra with the mission to enrich the cultural life of the citizens of Ridgefield and surrounding communities by presenting live orchestral concerts. The RSO also strives to increase the appreciation for music through community involvement and educational programs for people of all ages and abilities.
