Ridgefield Teen CERT To Host Medical Response 101 Class For High School Students
Ridgefield Teen CERT will hold a May 21 class teaching EMT basics to local high school students.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield’s Teen Community Emergency Response Team will host a one-time medical training class for high school students in partnership with the Ridgefield Fire Department.
The class, titled “Medical Response 101,” is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ridgefield Fire Department, 6 Catoonah St.
According to the announcement, the session is designed for current high school students and will cover basic emergency medical skills, including triaging and controlling severe bleeding.

Participants will receive instruction from an emergency medical technician and will have the opportunity to take part in hands-on training and an ambulance tour.
Students interested in attending are asked to register at ridgefieldteencert@gmail.com with their name, grade and email address.
