Ridgefield to Vote on Projects, Purchases at Town Meeting
Nearly $900,000 of upgrades, replacements, and new purchases are on the line.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Residents will have the opportunity to vote on nearly $900,000 of proposed projects and purchases, from new library computers to repairing tennis courts to one really big lawnmower, at the Annual Town Meeting Monday night.
Attendees of the meeting will also be asked to affirm the date and time for the town and schools 2019-20 budget referendum, which the Board of Selectmen has set for Tuesday, May 14.
Each municipal department will make a presentation about their sub- $100,000 wants and needs at the meeting. Capital expenses of six figures or more are included instead in the referendum ballot next week.
The line items, and their representatives who will be fielding questions after their respective presentations, are as follows:
