Ridgefield Voters Approve Town And Schools Budgets, All Resolutions

Voters passed the 2023-24 fiscal year budgets for the town and the schools, and all resolutions, in the referendum held Tuesday.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Voters passed the 2023-24 fiscal year budgets for the town and the schools, in the referendum held Tuesday.

The approved $48,715,483 town budget covers $42,029,352 in operating expenses, and debt service on both town and Board of Education capital projects of $6,686,131.

The approved 2023-24 BOE spending plan totals $110,645,000.

Both budgets cover their respective operations from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024

Voters also approved all resolutions on the ballot, covering road work and upgrades and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance; sidewalk improvements, a new fire Department ambulance; and improvements to Ridgefield High School, Farmingville Elementary School, Scotts Ridge Middle School; and other proposed projects.
