Ridgefield Voters Will Have Their Say On Town, School Budgets Tuesday

Residents will have the opportunity to vote on the 2023-24 fiscal year budgets for the town and the schools on Tuesday.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Residents will have the opportunity to vote on the 2023-24 fiscal year budgets for the town and the schools, as recommended by the Board of Finance, in a referendum on Tuesday.

The proposed $48,715,483 town budget covers $42,029,352 in operating expenses, and debt service on both town and Board of Education capital projects of $6,686,131.

The proposed 2023-24 BOE spending plan totals $110,645,000.

Both budgets cover their respective operations from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024

Voters will also weigh in on separate resolutions that have been carved out covering road work and upgrades and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance; sidewalk improvements, a new fire Department ambulance; and improvements to Ridgefield High School, Farmingville Elementary School, Scotts Ridge Middle School; and other proposed projects.
