Ridgefield Wetlands Board Approves Drainage for Winter Club

The club itself, however, has yet to be approved. Previous permit applications were withdrawn.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Wetlands Board approved a new drainage system, and related grading and work, for the Ridgefield Winter Club on Tuesday, the Ridgefield Press is reporting.

The club itself, however, has yet to be approved. Developer Bud Brown withdrew two special permit applications to run the private club in the residential area around 340 Peaceable Street on Dec. 12. Another application, for 40-foot lights to illuminate a skating rink, has also been withdrawn. The attorney for the club said it plans to submit a new special permit application to build at a later date.
