The incident occurred early Monday morning.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 61-year-old Ridgefield woman was arrested early Monday on a charge of driving under the influence after New Canaan police said she ran a red light at the intersection of Main and Cherry streets.
Ann E. Ellsworth, of Olcott Way, was pulled over after running the red light at about 1:25 a.m., and while speaking with her the officer "detected signs of intoxication," according to police.
She subsequently failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken into custody, police said, but she refused to submit to a blood alcohol content test at police headquarters.
