Ridgefield Zoners Reject Easing Drive-Thru Restrictions
Should Ridgefield consider easing its decades-long restrictions on drive-thru restaurants?
RIDGEFIELD, CT — A letter proposing the town ease its restrictions on drive-thru food restaurants gained no traction at a Planning and Zoning Commission meeting Tuesday night, the News-Times is reporting.
The letter, written by attorney Bob Jewell on behalf of Bob Shoetz, owner of 896 Ethan Allen Highway, was placed before the commission for a "pre-submission concept discussion" meant to gauge the zoners' openness to lifting the town's decades-old ban on drive-thru food.
After some discussion, the commission's chairwoman Rebecca Mucchetti determined there was no support for revising the regulations.
