Ridgefield Zoning Board Approves Affordable Housing

The Planning and Zoning Commission approved a nine-unit, multi-family​ development at Turner Road and Barnum Place.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Planning and Zoning Commission approved a nine-unit, multi-family development at Turner Road and Barnum Place on Tuesday, the News-Times is reporting.

The application for the 1.17 acre property was first submitted by Black Oaks, LLC, in November, under Section 8-30g of the Connecticut General Statutes covering affordable housing. Two units of housing will be affordable for households at 60 percent state median income, and one more will be within reach of a household at 80 percent state median income.

The application was given an effective date of May 22, to be followed by a 15-day appeal period before the project can move through the permitting process
