Ridgfield Town Budget Hike to Go Before Voters

The Board of Education's budget request was trimmed.

RIDGEFIELD, CT --- The finance board will be sending their proposed 1.8 percent tax hike to support a $144 million proposed 2018-19 budget to voters for approval in May. The new budget includes spending increases of about 2.5 percent for both schools and town.

The Board of Education, whose budget request was trimmed to 2.55 percent from the 4.83 percent increase the BOE requested, has scheduled a special meeting open to the public on April 16 at 7:30 in the school board’s meeting room in the Town Hall annex.
