Road Closure Planned Around Ex-Chief's Funeral Procession Friday

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The police have announced that Catoonah Street will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 11:30 a.m. between the Post Office and High Ridge Avenue on Friday.

The closure is to accommodate the funeral procession of former Ridgefield Police Chief John S. Roche, which will be held Fri., Sept. 7 at 10:15 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Ridgefield.

Following the service, the procession will travel south on High Ridge Avenue to King Lane, to Main Street, to Branchville Road, to East Ridge Road, with a stop in front of Ridgefield Police Headquarters. The procession will then head to Governor Street, to Main Street to North Salem Road to North Street before ending at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Motorists should expect delays in the area.
