Rockettes to Share Passion for Fitness With Ridgefield School of Dance
As the Rockettes gear up for another season of high kicks & festive fun, they take a moment to share their love of dance with locals.

The Rockettes are gearing up for another awe-inspiring year of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and before they start rehearsals, two Rockettes will be visiting The Ridgefield School of Dance in to teach a dynamic stretch class with mothers and daughters, followed by a dance class where students will learn signature Rockettes choreography.
The Rockettes are a legendary dance company and have been a part of the fabric of New York City for more than 85 years. Since 1933, the Rockettes have danced into the hearts of millions and spread Christmas cheer to people of all ages. Their technique continues to be both deceivingly complex and entirely glamorous and their talent and athleticism is unrivaled. They have appeared in some of the most prominent events in the entertainment landscape including the 2013 Super Bowl numeral unveil, the 2013 MLB Home Run Derby, NBC’s hit show, “America’s Got Talent” and various other special events including award shows, national television appearances, sporting events and Presidential inaugurations.
The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is a one-of-a-kind holiday celebration that generations of people have come to cherish. The 2014 edition features dazzling dance numbers and costumes, state-of-the-art technology and the return of classic numbers. Audiences will feel immersed in the warmth and magic of Christmas in a way that only Radio City can deliver when the finale number, “Snow,” transforms the hall into a breathtaking winter wonderland that features GPS-enabled snowflakes. Classic performances, including “Living Nativity,” which takes audiences on an awe-inspiring, uplifting journey, and “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers,” which sets the standard for the Rockettes style of precision dance, remain a vital part of the show.
The 2014 Christmas Spectacular will lift spirits and create lasting memories for friends, family and loved ones and Radio City will be aglow with the joy of the season. The Rockettes will be at The Ridgefield School of Dance, 66 Grove Street, Ridgefied, on Wednesday, September 17, from 3:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Tickets on sale are on sale now for performances of the 2014 Radio City Christmas Spectacular which begins November 7, 2014 and runs through December 31, 2014 at Radio City Music Hall®.
