Ridgefield Rotary Sunrise to Join Women's Center in 'Safe Walk'

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Please join the Rotary Club of Ridgefield Sunrise in support of the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury 8th annual 4k SafeWalk 8:30-11:00 Sunday morning October 5th, at the Danbury Fair Mall.
The Rotary Club of Ridgefield Sunrise is supporting this event by fielding a team as part of its ongoing support of the Center. Last year over 400 people from children to seniors participated in this event which raised over $40,000.

The SafeWalk is the Women’s Center premier event to unite the Community in their mission to end domestic violence and raise much needed funds to support their programs. Since the Women’s Center founding in 1975 it has been a safe haven as the sole provider of services to victims of domestic and sexual violence in the Northern Fairfield and Southern
Litchfield County areas.
Each year, the Center serves over 20,000 individuals from our area communities. Their free and confidential services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
